“We are a supported living accommodation service, and we assist young black males in obtaining secure living accommodation. We provide them with services, therapy, careers advice, opportunities, all in a bid to assist them in turning their life around and giving them a second chance at a better life. We had difficultly in obtaining funding for some of our service users because they fell through the social services net so they weren’t referred to us, or perhaps they just needed our services and didn’t have the funding for it. “We are an award-winning permaculture farm that helps people reconnect with nature to enable a path to wellbeing, especially designed for those people with issues with their mental health, people who may be in danger of becoming homeless or are homeless, to give them that confidence to reconnect with themselves and others through working in nature and other work schemes that we provide. With the help of Non Profit Growth we have been able to provide food boxes for the homeless while they’ve been in temporary accommodation during lockdown. We have provided over 1,500 meals to people in temporary accommodation and people even out on the streets. Our aim is to help people off the streets and help them build a better life that has meaning to them. Non Profit Growth has helped us be focused. Our problem was that we didn’t have time to look at funding. It was really confusing for us. We didn’t know where to look for the funding, and we just found it really consuming and very exhausting trying to get funding. But Non Profit Growth has helped us get the funding to achieve this help that we had, during this time that has been really difficult.
